When you cross the bridge at Gold Beach, turn left and drive 28 miles to Cougar Lane. This is a grocery store, gas station, bar, motel combination.

Proceed up the road staying along the river for approximately 5 miles and you will cross the Rogue River again. 100 yards further on you will come to a 4 way crossroads.

Signs say LEFT to Agness, STRAIGHT to Powers and RIGHT to Illehee Campground/Foster Bar. Travel 2.5 miles to the Foster Bar turnoff. Campground to your left.

Come for 1 to 14 Days at Foster Bar on the Rogue River near Agness about 35 miles East of Gold Beach. About 170 miles all paved, from Roseburg. Overnight camping at optional USFS campground; starting place. Non-motorized prospecting equipment. Expect fine and flakes with pickers and clunkers possible.
